My Sock Bunny Friends

The Bundle Break Lesson Plan.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE

 

In this care learning experience, your child will explore the history of sock animals, discuss friendship and feelings, and build no-sew sock bunny friend or friends.They will learn about different emotions and feelings, learn how to tie bows and various knots, and communicate fun facts about the stuffed animals.Remember, the lesson is meant to be interactive and a conversation with the child. After asking them questions, always pause and wait for their response and reply accordingly.

 

THE MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED:

 

Sock or socks if making more than one

Rice or dried beans (adult sock will need about 2 to 2.5 cups, child sock 1-1.5 cup for each bunny you want to make)

Twine or at least 4 rubber bands

Scissors

Ribbon (used to cover rubber bands and practice knot tying)

Black sharpie or permanent marker if light colored sock or a white paint marker if dark colored sock
